Project One: Pilot Programs

When launching a new process or program, a trial run (pilot) is often completed to validate assumptions and work out any issues that may have been missed during planning. Part of validating a program’s effectiveness includes ensuring those implementing the work are properly trained.

To support this rapid agile approach, I implemented an instructor-led training template. This was built in partnership with the project owner to prepare them to train and coach employees.

This reduced the time it takes to develop the training program by 58% (industry standard would be 60 hours of development time, where now it takes 25 hours). This enabled us to move quickly while maintaining the high-quality learning experience, and ensuring associates are prepared to build and serve new products and ingredients to our customers.

Project Two: Food Service

A company has a made-to-order program that is rapidly growing. In addition to training for new hires, existing employees needed to learn about new product and ingredient launches. These launches moved fast and needed a learning solution that could keep up with the speed of development.

The final learning solution included a 15-20 minute computer based training, hands-on practice activities, a skill assessment, and coaching resources.
To decrease time to develop the training, I created a template in Articulate Rise and worked with business partners to have a standard workflow for video production of the new product or ingredient.
